For the philosophical, grab a hot drink, get a blanket and keep reading. In a previous letter, I wrote you about the uncomfortable process of shedding skins and the wisdom of lobsters. Three months later, looking in retrospective, indeed, I shed a skin. Against the odds and a few social comformities, my inner compass pulsed intensely into a direction that felt both exciting and scary at the same time. When we are pressed by life to implement changes in the structures that give us stability, we can feel extremely vulnerable, disoriented and insecure. However, the conundrum resides in the following: not changing, remaining at the same place, results more painful than the uncertainty of embarking into an unexpected journey with no map. Have you experienced this at some point of your life? I myself experienced it before, probably a few times. But in a similar artifice to the wise amnesia women undergo after the experience of giving birth, I too blissfully forgot the pain of the cyclical times in which I had to (again) give birth to myself.

The current collective ambient adds to this in quadrature: we transpire the smell of the change of eras, the sweaty fingers flipping the page of a historical chapter, the unfolding of a new mindset. The world as we knew it doesn't exist anymore and a new world is pulsing to be born. How can we hold us lovingly as we traverse personal and collective transformations? Surrendering to the inevitable nature of change, the experience of loss and rebirth is no easy practice. There are a few toolsets the wise have left for us knowing well we too could make good use of them. Yoga and the buddhist practice are some to mention.

A Yoga that goes beyond the instagrammable pretentious new age disguises or a palatable sterilized Asana-centered workout practice. Rather, an embodied practice which can embrace the complexity and sometimes messy reality of our human existence, the needs of our spirit, the celebration of our ancestors, the communal healing, the fertile space we hold for each other as we breathe and move in synchronicity. A Yoga that helps us "rise to the challenge of life". The concept of Satsang and Sangha are central to both Yoga and Buddhism, meaning the communal body which gathers to practice. We offer the possibility of this space, but ultimately we create it all together: in each breath, in each Om, in each moment of presence. This is why, you matter so much.

We look forward to see your eyes soon.

With sincere love,
gratitude & appreciation,
